Warren Street Hotel Brings Kit Kemp’s World of Color to Tribeca

In the heart of Tribeca, Warren Street Hotel introduces a vivid new expression of contemporary British design to downtown Manhattan. Opened in February 2024 as Firmdale Hotels’ third New York property, the hotel reflects the unmistakable creative vision of designer and Firmdale co-founder Kit Kemp.
From its striking exterior to its richly layered interiors, Warren Street Hotel resists the anonymity often associated with contemporary luxury. Color, pattern, texture, and handcrafted objects come together throughout the property, creating spaces that feel collected rather than conventionally decorated.
The hotel’s interiors feature commissioned pieces from artists, sculptors, craftspeople, and designers selected by Kemp. Sculptural forms, woven materials, expressive textiles, and unexpected combinations of furniture establish a distinctive visual rhythm, while each room and public space retains an individual identity.
This emphasis on individuality extends throughout the hotel’s bedrooms, suites, and residences. Floor-to-ceiling windows connect the interiors with the surrounding city, while selected accommodations offer private terraces and views across Lower Manhattan. Rather than relying on uniformity, the rooms are conceived as intimate, characterful environments shaped by art, fabric, and detail.
Beyond the guest rooms, the hotel includes the Warren Street Bar and Restaurant, the private Drawing Room, the Orangery, and a rooftop terrace overlooking downtown Manhattan. The Drawing Room combines antique furniture, handcrafted pieces, comfortable seating, and an Honesty Bar, while the Orangery provides a light-filled private dining space with a contemporary English sensibility.
Warren Street Hotel ultimately feels less like a traditional luxury hotel and more like an evolving interior landscape.
